Eager to continue to innovate and excite with their products, they are now seeking a passionate Product Launch Technologist, who can bring bakery expertise, manufacturing and production know-how to the table on a 14-month fixed term contract.

Please note a UK driving license is essential due to the location, travel to the companies additional site will also be required.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Food, this role is a hands on and solution driven position where you will be ensuring creative concepts are taken through to a successful launch. You’ll spend your time familiarising yourself with new and exciting concepts, whilst figuring out how this can be translated into viable products that consumers will love. This will mean leading and delivering the implementation of products into the manufacturing site.

A cross functional role, you’ll liaise with the likes of Innovation, Manufacturing, Compliance and Production teams to align expectations and communicate process procedures so that everyone is in the know and on the same page. You will also implement these new processes and consider new technologies that will ensure manufacturing operation teams can tangibly create the products, without comprising on quality, volume, or taste.

Additionally, you’ll work closely with the rest of the NPD team to ensure new concepts are cost effective and commercially viable, meaning you need a firm grasp of ingredient usage, and factory capabilities. Where there are gaps or issues, you will have the confidence to suggest and input solutions that will lead to product success across the board.

The Person

We are looking for candidates with a Food Technology degree or related qualification, along with extensive manufacturing experience within the bakery category. A thorough understanding of the NPD process and prior experience of taking a product through to launch is also key to succeed in this role.

You’ll need an extensive knowledge of the product lifecycle and key project milestones, in order to train and communicate product needs and production possibilities across the business. Strong communication and presentation skills are also vital as you’ll be liaising with key stakeholders on a regular basis. Experience in the operational side of things will allow you hit the ground running and truly flourish in this exciting role.
