The Company

Our client is a small but highly successful Food to Go business supplying customers with innovative products across this complex chilled category. Rapidly growing, they have recently expanded to new premises in January where they operate both hot and cold kitchen production. They are now looking for a strong Interim Quality Manager for an immediate start to join the team to take the lead in establishing Quality Systems for their new site.

This role can be salaried or interim day rate, plus expenses.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of everything under the Quality umbrella to ensure that all new and existing products are manufactured to the highest quality, safety and legal standards. You’ll utilise your QA and QMS knowledge as well as industry experience to develop robust quality management systems, whilst setting and delivering KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with Production teams to help train them, ensuring best practice and a right first-time culture, as well as preparing the new site for upcoming EHO and SALSA audits.

The Person

Suit a Quality Assurance professional with a solid background in complex chilled food manufacturing, ideally in the sandwich/salads/ready meals sector. You’ll be confident and articulate with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, plus a proven track record of implementing new systems and leading audits.
