They are now looking for a technical Manager to Lead the technical strategy to ensure safety and compliance to regulations, whilst delivering market leading quality across all products.

The Role

In your role as Technical Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening the company’s category, leading quality, developing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) and risk management. You will be responsible for the Stage and Gate process and underlying project management.

In this broad, challenging and stimulating role you’ll be:

• Working on key projects across the business, including reviewing all technical and quality processes to ensure efficiency and standards are second to none

• becoming the subject matter expert on relevant legislation to safeguard and support the business on pack information, marketing content, customer requirements and consumer led queries

• Managing and providing guidance to Projects & NPD technologist by supporting them in day to day activities and allowing them to reach their full potential

• Being the face of all technical and quality activity within the business, advising on technological changes in the food industry and identifying opportunities for developments

• Flexing your analytical mind and problem-solving skills to find solutions to any technical issues which arise and making improvements to current processes.

The Person

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious candidate with technical and quality management experience, either from working for a food & drink brand, a major retailer or manufacturing environment. You will also have extensive experience in packaging artwork development & sign off.

Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail, you’ll have top notch communication, organisation and prioritisation skills along with an excellent analytical approach – a necessity when handling multiple projects.

A great relationship builder, you must have experience of managing a small team, as well as dealing with stakeholders and 3rd party manufacturers. Additionally, you’ll be proactive and able to use your own initiative, think outside the box and consistently exceed high technical standards. You’ll be passionate, bring heaps of energy and enthusiasm to the role along with an inquisitive and logical mind.
