The Company
We’re working with innovations focussed food brand who are leaders in their sector with ambitious plans to expand across new categories and markets. They’re looking for a talented Innovation Manager (from an NPD background, not marketing) to join their Product Team.
This is a pacey NPD role for a creative product developer who is a true foodie and understands how to translate trends into viable products, from ideation to full launch. You’ll be creating products that are desirable, feasible and scalable, ensuring alignment with strategic and commercial goals.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Innovation you’ll take ownership of your product portfolio, understand the market and be able to use trends and insight data to create compelling product briefs. You’ll translate complex ideas into engaging concepts for internal and external stakeholders, confidently presenting your ideas for approval.
You’ll also work closely with the Factory NPD Team to perfect products and ensure that a robust manufacturing process is defined in order to manage the NPD critical path. You will work with cross-functional teams, leading your innovation projects from scoping through to launch.
The Person
You’ll be an experienced Product Developer (with a Food Science or related degree) who has proven experience of creating new products and bringing them to life. Your NPD experience will ideally be from a food manufacturing environment where you have managed the stage gate process, understand how to navigate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
Your approach will be naturally collaborative, with the ability to build trust, maintain alignment and ensure stakeholders are on track with project timelines. Strong project management skills are essential as you will be managing multiple projects at pace.
Above all, you’ll bring a positive, energetic mindset, pioneering in your approach, accountable in your delivery, considerate of others’ priorities and driven to deliver exceptional new products to market.
