They love to innovate and bring products to the health-conscious consumer, transforming their lives with food / drink products that are infused with functional /adaptogenic ingredients.

With this in mind, they have created a new role within the Product Team and need a shining star to help deliver their ambition.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Product you will be a key member of the Product Team and be the go-to person for all technically related aspects of the product portfolio.

The role is broad and will take responsibility for working collaboratively with manufacturing partners and suppliers, carrying out site visits both in the UK and abroad to raise standards throughout the product life cycle. You’ll help onboard new suppliers and create performance metrics to ensure they adhere to the highest standards.

You’ll work closely with the NPD / Innovation team to support with technical aspects of new product development, including creating and managing timelines, ingredient risk assessments.

You’ll also focus strongly on EPD projects; owning and delivering product improvements, to ensure continuous improvement from a quality, and commercial perspective is achieved. This will involve taking customer complaints, non-conformance investigations and technical solutions into account to ensure the product portfolio continues to be at the forefront of the market.

The Person

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Food Technologist / Technical professional with a food science / food technology degree, and a few years of experience working in a similar technical role within the food industry.

You’ll be HACCP Level 2 and Food Safety Level 2 qualified, with experience of managing suppliers and third party manufacturers.

Some experience of working for a challenger / start-up food or drink brand would be great as you’ll understand how to thrive in a fast-paced environment and can translate your skills and mindset to make an impact with a high -growth brand.

Alternatively, if you’ve gained experience within a food manufacturing environment, or with a leading retailer, this would be great as well.

You're passionate, bring heaps of energy and enthusiasm to the role along with an inquisitive and logical mind. Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail, you'll have top notch communication, organisation and prioritisation skills along with an excellent analytical approach a necessity when handling multiple projects and liaising with colleagues at all business levels.

Please note this role does require travel to supplier and manufacturing sites both in the UK and the USA.
