The Company

This leading London catering business offer premium quality products for prestigious events. They are passionate about fresh, high-quality products and strive to delight distinguished customers time and time again. They have moved to a new production site to meet business growth, and have created the role of Production Chef Manager help them continue their journey of success.

The Role

You will lead the production chef team, as well as support the Executive Chef who takes the lead in developing innovative menus for new customers. This will include analysing future trends, spotting unique flavour opportunities and tasty offerings that will delight customers. As you’ll be creating products for various events and occasions, you will identify new concepts that will facilitate customer needs, pivoting to find solutions or alternatives to dietary needs and unique requirements.

You will also analyse costings, source ingredients and maintain product specifications. This will be coupled with overseeing the production process, and managing a team of chefs who will ensure products are made with the love and care that they deserve.

The Person

We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef who wants to take their culinary expertise from the restaurant space and move into a fast-paced role within a highly regarded food business. Ideally you will have led a team and find joy in nurturing and developing those around you. Excellent communication skills, as well as planning and time management capabilities are essential to succeed.

Prior experience within contract catering or a production unit would be highly advantageous, along with in- depth knowledge of food safety, allergen management and food costings.
