Reporting to the NPD Manager you will be developing chilled products for the major retailers, responding to customer briefs to create exciting new products that reflect the latest trends. You will work closely with the team of development chefs, supporting with innovation as well as updating the company’s current products, tweaking ingredients to improve taste, texture, quality and cost.
The role will involve working with customer NPD teams and ensuing the timely management of critical paths, keeping them appraised of progress and being part of presentations. Liaising with the Process team you’ll secure a smooth hand over from kitchen to factory ensuring all products are manufactured right first-time round.
We are looking for an ambitious food science graduate who has concept to launch development experience within a food manufacturing environment. Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar fast paced innovations role where you have gained an understanding of developing products for the major retailers.
You’ll need to be confident and foodie with great organisation and project management skills in order to help create and launch successful products into the marketplace. You’ll also need to have good presentation skills and first-class communication skills as you’ll be liaising with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
