A rare opportunity to join a growing entrepreneurial food brand with global reach. The company is expanding and a new Technical Manager position has been created, based at their central London office.
In this senior role you will be the ‘brand guardian’ with full responsibility for Quality, Food Safety, Legality and Brand Reputation. You will work as part of the Product Team, based at their Head Office, playing a key role in Supplier Management, Governance, Process Innovation as well as making a positive contribution to the company’s NPD Programme.
You will need to develop strong Technical relationships with current and future co-manufacturing partners in the UK and Europe. You will work closely with them to drive quality improvements and ensure product integrity as well as support the development of new products. You will also have the chance to build a small team in the future as the business grows.
We’re looking for a bright, capable and driven Technical Manager with superb interpersonal skills. Ideally with a food science / technology degree and a wealth of technical experience from food manufacturing and / or retail environments. If you’ve worked for a food brand before that would be an added bonus.
Of course the usual HACCP, BRC, auditing and quality management systems experience is essential but we need a technical manager with a real passion for food and processes. Someone who can embrace new product areas, gets excited about technical innovation and new ingredients.
Developing fair and collaborative relationships with suppliers alongside a love for factories is a must for this role. There will be regular travel to suppliers within the UK and mainland Europe so you will need to have a flexible approach and be able to adapt to the needs of a fast paced business.
