The Company

They are now looking for a passionate and lively New Product Development Manager with beverages experience to drive ambitious plans within this continually growing business.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of NPD International Business you’ll be responsible for delivering health and wellbeing projects through idea generation and feasibility, whilst managing the critical path from concept to launch. You will also work closely with internal teams to identify new opportunities within your category whilst applying your NPD and market knowledge to evaluate the commercial viability of new products. You will also use your strong commercial acumen to assess ingredient and packaging trends whilst evaluating areas for potential business growth.

When faced with technical challenges and project risks you’ll identify issues, highlighting them to the team coming up with a course of action and possible solutions. Additionally you’ll help prepare costings to ensure products are produced within the agreed budget as well as working with the internal and external teams to certify products are in line with agreed quality parameters.

The Person

This is the perfect role for a knowledgeable NPD Manager or confident Senior Developer who looking for a step up into a high profile position. You must have a genuine passion for beverages, previous NPD experience in a fast paced FMCG environment and a strong understanding of the fortification of vitamins and minerals. Ideally you’ll have a degree in food science and extensive knowledge of beverage technology – specifically health and wellbeing products.

A keen eye for emerging food trends and spotting gaps in the market is essential as well as a good understanding of product costings, regulatory matters and packaging. You must have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. You’ll also need exceptional attention to detail alongside great project management and organisation skills in order to achieve success in this dynamic and rewarding role. Previous team management not essential.
