The Company

A recognised establishment who provide the food and drinks industry with technical support and keeps them updated on legislative and regulatory requirements for their industries. Due to movements within the team they are now looking for a talented Technical and Regulatory Technologist to support their technical team at their swanky central London offices.

The Role

You’ll be an integral part of the technical team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for food manufacturing businesses, the media and public who may have technical and regulatory issues including food safety and health.

• Provide technical support on food policy issues and, where relevant, to develop policy position papers and to gather supporting data.

• Analyse, summarise and disseminate technical documents in a timely and accurate manner on food issues from UK and EU regulators and institutions.

• Attend European Associations’ meetings to represent the sectors and associations’ interests in Europe.

The Person

This role would suit a Technical and Regulatory professional who has previously worked in a similar technical support role within the food industry, with a passion for sustainability. You’ll have the ability to organise a diverse workload and sustain a range of working relationships.

You must have excellent administrative capabilities, including accounting competence, alongside a keen eye for detail as you will be analysing legislative documents. Alongside excellent communication and organisation skills you’ll also need to be proactive and able to use your own initiative, thinking outside the box to consistently reach and exceed high standards.
