This highly regarded ambient food manufacturer produces delicious products for major retail and food service customers. They are a market leader in their sector and they are now looking for a new addition to their QA team to help guarantee the delivery of the highest quality products.
Reporting to the QA Manager, you’ll help ensure all quality and safety standards are maintained to company and customer standards whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives and striving for quality excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Helping with the correct implementation, collation and assessment of traceability, process and CCP documentation, feeding back any issues to ensure problems are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Participating in nutritional and microbiological testing, carefully analysing results and taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Co-ordinating internal factory and customer audits, creating reports and updating documentation whilst taking part in internal taste panels, reviewing outcomes and identifying trends.
• Contributing to the coaching and training of your colleagues to ensure that all processes and procedures are up to date regarding food safety and quality systems.
Suit a Food Science or Technology graduate who has gained experience in a technical or quality role within a chilled food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP is essential as is experience of how to handle non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are effective. You will also need to have outstanding communication skills as you will liaise regularly with colleagues and customers. Excellent organisational skills and an analytical and methodical approach to tasks along with a finely tuned eye for detail are essential. Computer literacy is also crucial for data analysis and trend reporting.
