This food business is one of the most recognisable brands in their category and have an ambitious growth strategy in place to conquer new markets. To support their plans they need a highly talented, engaging and creative Product Manager to join the team.
This is a diverse and rewarding role with responsibility for managing the brand’s product portfolio, refreshing existing ranges as well as working on products that are in line with current and emerging food trends.
You will report to the Head of Marketing, supporting the implementation of the innovation strategy and key marketing objectives. You’ll develop and deliver products with a clear product vision, using consumer insight and category data to support your concepts.
Presenting ideas to internal teams at all business levels and articulating initiatives that will support long term brand direction as well as meet margin targets. So you will need to be fully aware of competitors with weekly analysis of their activity, taste panels and insight into how this impacts on the brand’s position in the market place.
You’ll work closely with the Process and Technical teams to manage the critical path for your products to ensure a successful launch whether that’s a revamp of an existing product or a new concept. You will also manage and co-ordinate packaging changes and product photo-shoots, communicating range changes across all channels.
The role has a balance of hands-on concept development responsibility as well as NPD project / product portfolio management using consumer and category insights to keep the brand’s market leading position.
Creative, passionate and proactive with the commercial savviness to lead key NPD projects, you’ll have gained experience from a fast paced chilled manufacturing company within brand or own label.
You’ll have strong culinary skills and a thorough understanding of the NPD process from concept stage through to launch - you’ll be just as happy being hands on in the kitchen as you will be managing projects.
Perpetually positive you provide solutions when faced with obstacles and remain calm, organised when under pressure; able to prioritise whilst paying close attention to the details.
As well as being a real foodie you will be an analytical thinker, have excellent project management skills with the ability to drive and influence the NPD agenda for the company.
