Well positioned in the market place, our client is a celebrated manufacturer of innovative chilled products with a true love of food at the heart of all they do. Producing amazing and great tasting ranges for the UK major multiples, they are looking for an NPD Manager to take on this creative challenge and inspire the team with their development skills.
As a pivotal member of the NPD team you’ll develop 1st to market products where you will be bringing pioneering concepts to life as well as ensuring the current portfolio has a competitive edge and keeps the brand’s market leading position.
Eager to get involved, you’ll be happy to get hands on as you create new product concepts and flavour profiles, carrying out internal and external taste panels whilst using consumer insights and feedback to deliver NPD projects which are great tasting, commercially viable and meet the brand’s values. You’ll be involved with short and long term NPD project initiatives, presenting ideas to key stakeholders and the senior team.
You’ll have responsibility for ensuring all recipes are of exceptional quality at the right cost, with accountability for recommending product and ingredient improvements. Managing the NPD process from concept to product launch, you will work to create products that truly shine in their respective categories whilst driving continuous improvements and cost saving initiatives to ensure profit margins are achieved without compromising on quality and taste.
You will be a huge foodie who is mad about food and loves learning about new flavours and meal ideas. Suit a confident and focussed NPD Manager with amazing attention to detail, the drive to deliver projects and previous experience within the ready meals sector. You’ll have worked in a similar position where you have gained a proven record of delivering improvements to product performance and liaising with major retail customers. You’ll have a strong understanding of product launch procedures and will be at ease taking responsibility for carrying out trials, working to a critical path and implementing HACCP principles. A creative and innovative approach along with first class project management, communication and influencing skills are also essential for achieving success in this fast paced role.
