In this fast paced and challenging role you will use your enthusiasm and excellent business development/ sales skills to explore new opportunities in the international and food service markets alongside managing existing accounts within the food industries. You’ll assist with NPD launches whilst developing strategies to increase distribution, maximise sales and provide customers with solutions to their business needs.
Working together with the Marketing team you will plan in-store promotional activities, attend trade expos and collect customer feedback to assess the market’s needs. Using your own knowledge of food, cuisine and ingredients you’ll engage with customers to develop and cultivate business relationships, becoming the preferred brand and go-to-guru for any culinary requirements.
Authentically passionate about good food with a natural ability for building relationships with people you’ll use your previous Sales experience to project manage and increase business profitability. A background in food is essential, though those from FMCG who are able to demonstrate a clear and eager ‘foodie-ness’ would also be considered.
A proven record of establishing and maintaining successful relationships with the major foodservice accounts is required. You’ll thrive on working under pressure and will excel in achieving targets for revenue and sales growth. Additionally you’ll have the ability to think outside the box together with first class communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
